We have several areas of work in which volunteers can get involved:
Project work
We set up and deliver projects across the region, with activities ranging from live music, music technology, story telling, radio/podcasts, video and songwriting. They could be anything from a one off to a year long project working with a range of people including under fives, teenagers, gifted and talented or young offenders. We’re always looking for keen and committed people to help out.
Admin
Running a small but in demand arts organisation takes a lot of work and we are constantly on the lookout for funding opportunities, putting together bids, and keeping an office running smoothly. If this is an area of interest for you, then we can help you to help us!
Organisational Development
SoCo Music Project is an expanding organisation, we are always looking at new areas of work and finding new ways to meet are aims and objectives, the city centre unit being one of them. If you want to help us expand and develop as an organisation then share your vision with us.
Media Hub
This is an exciting time for SoCo Music Project, we’re about to open a unique facility for the city giving young people access to an exciting hub for all things creative. We hope to provide activities, workshops and equipment for music, video, print and other media, as well as performance areas for music, speech and dance. We need committed and passionate people to help us manage and run the media hub, making it an important addition to the cultural offer for the city and beyond.
