Romsey Contact Radio and Youth Music Festival
Two great projects in one! We’ve finished building a state of the art radio station at the Romsey School that will broadcast a mix of live and prerecorded programmes written, presented and produced by pupils from Romsey and Mountbatten Schools and 14 other schools in the Romsey Contact cluster. We’re topping that off with the Contact Festival taking place in Romsey on the 31st July. Supported by Hampshire County Council, Find Your Talent and The Romsey School... it will be a celebration of Youth Culture, and hopefully a regular event on the calendar!

PAYP @ Hightown Youth Centre
Six sessions of music making and recording, we worked with some really talented individuals and everyone got involved to get some tracks recorded.

Urban Media Hub @ the K2 Festival
There were lots of great activities in our Urban Media Hub at the K2 Urban Youth Festival in Southampton, from street dance to DJ’ing, urban art to animation. We all had a lot of fun, click the link above for the pictures

MY Music @ Chamberlayne College for the Arts
Three days of music fun! SoCo Music Project worked with a group of pupils from Chamberlayne College of the Performing arts in Weston as part of Find Your Talent PUSH. The MY Music sessions included workshops on songwriting, live recording, music technology, filming live music and community radio. The project ended with a fantastic gig at the Soul Cellar with a great live set from Mash Attack.
